Montreal River

An essentially primitive stream with very minimal human encroachment. Overall recreational opportunity is limited. Falls near mouth.
The Montreal River is a river in the Keweenaw Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The Montreal River contains several rare plants and habitat, falls, and archeological sites; the lower portion of the Montreal River to Smith Fisheries is lowland conifer and contains steep slopes.
One of the waterfalls in Michigan is found on this river 13.5 miles NW of Ironwood.
